Accelerating Development: ADF Energy and water investments in Rwanda

The African Development Fund is a key partner in helping Rwanda implement its development programme, focused on resilient infrastructure services to improve the lives of Rwandans, reduce poverty, and achieve middle-income status.
The Rural Water supply and Sanitation Sub-Program II (PNEAR II) – Rulindo component, has enabled to cut the cost drinking by ten, while the Rulindo substation project involved Rehabilitation and upgrade of an existing substation at Gifurwe, construction of a new substation at Rulindo, distribution lines and electricity connections for 30,636 households, 32 health centers, 210 schools 52 sector administrative offices and priority public institutions.
