Helping Malagasy Children Have a Better Chance in Life

In Madagascar, half of children under the age of five are stunted. It is the fourth highest rate in the world.
Stunting is one of the biggest impediments to a child’s potential and to the country’s long-term development.
In an effort to reduce stunting among Malagasy children, the World Bank Group is putting in place a transformative new program that will help the country in its efforts to reduce stunting and provide 600,000 children with a better chance in life.
