Abel Gogo, Airport Manager at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), speaks on the recent expansion of Terminal 1A which has increased the airport’s passenger and airside capacity for the aprons. The expansion has attracted new airlines creating more competition that has reduced the cost of air travel. For Abel, Terminal 1A has also increased passenger experience and attracted both terminating and transiting passengers to the country which has impacted the aviation industry in Kenya and boosted the economy. Abel is grateful for the support the Government continues to give towards improving the aviation industry and looks forward to more investment in-order to keep expanding JKIA.
