WTO Trade Dialogues brings consumers groups to the WTO to discuss consumers’ concerns
Senior representatives of consumer organizations meeting on 6 May 2019 at the WTO headquarters sent a strong message of support for the WTO and the multilateral trading system. They emphasized the importance of taking consumers’ concerns into account in trade negotiations and policy-making and presented their priorities for e-commerce.
The meeting, held at the request of Consumers International, is the first event to be organized solely for consumer organizations as part of the WTO’s “Trade Dialogues” initiative.
