The future of world trade: How digital technologies are transforming global commerce
The WTO Trade Dialogues lecture series focuses on the latest research on international trade and globalization. On 20 November 2018, the authors of the 2018 World Trade Report Emmanuelle Ganne, Marc Bacchetta, Roberta Piermartini and Robert Teh presented the key findings of the Report, which examines how digital technologies – and in particular the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, 3D printing and Blockchain – affect trade costs, the nature of what is traded and the composition of trade.
